Originally published in early 2013, Scandinavian by Massimo Leardini was one of the first books published by Éditions du LIC and has gone on to become one of our most popular books to date. As it was the first book devoted specifically to the photographer’s artistic practice, the book gained global recognition and praise, leading to exhibitions around the world, including Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Oslo and London. Quickly selling out, Scandinavian became a much sought-after and highly collectable photobook.
Given the continued demand for copies, we are releasing a substantially revised and updated edition of Scandinavian. Rather than being a second edition, the new book is a reinterpretation of the original resulting from a close collaboration with the artist. Scandinavian - Revised Edition features an updated curation (20% of the photographs are new and previously unpublished), a new layout (featuring larger images) and a new design with even better quality production and materials than the original. Featuring the highest quality duotone offset printing, the new book is housed in a large format clothbound hardcover with the addition of a presentation dust jacket.
